Petra gives in spring and autumn of 2018 workshops of a week.

You are planning for a week away with a friend and want, besides relaxing and discovering a new area, to spend some time on being creative? Then come to our B&B and follow a course in painting, felting or soapstone sculpting according your personal ideas. You may book a workshop for minimal two and maximal four persons. Workshop time is 10 to 20 hours per week.

You may decide to have during 5 days a 2 hours course in the morning and spending time in the afternoon on other activities. Even so, you might want to have also in the afternoon 2 hours. All is possible. You are free to continuing working after course time. A workshop week can start on any day when available. I plan to give two times a one-week course per month, in the months April, May, June, September and October. We offer dining with us but it certainly will be nice to eat out a few times in one of the many good restaurants in town.

Painting in the Dordogne

You may choose from painting with acrylic, pastel or aquarelle. We paint in the garden or in my atelier when the weather is not in our favour. The colours and shapes of our garden may inspire you but of course you may like abstract painting or just follow your fantasy. You will learn how to use the material, techniques and to set up your theme. I will give you practical advice during the course. As I will base the workshop on your wishes, it is suitable for beginners but also experienced persons can develop their skills. I paint for more then 30 years and have used all techniques. All material is available so you do not have to bring anything. Just inform me what size of canvas you want to use. We work form 10:00 to 12:00 am and/or from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Outside these hours you are free to continuing work on your own or to relax, whatever you like. Ps. I can teach you also the techniques of painting with oil paint but you will not be able to finish a painting in one week as oil needs to dry between layers.
